Ibu Rosa

About a year ago, Ibu Rosa asked me about forgiveness of sins. I shared a few verses from the Zabur (Psalms). I was surprised when she expressed intense interest. I have often thought of her response, and looked for an opportunity to share more from Psalm 32: "Blessed is he whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered." I prayed that God would provide the perfect timing for me to share, and would prepare Ibu Rosa's heart to hear these words.

Last week, God answered my prayer. I ran into Ibu Rosa on her way home. Grabbing a copy of the Zabur in her language, I headed to her house. When I said I'd brought a book for her that talked about forgiveness of sins, her face lit up, reminding me of dry soil that thirstily soaks up water. I read the verses from Psalm 32, and she thanked me several times.

 

Prayer Points

  • Pray that Ibu Rosa will read the Psalms, and that through them God would speak to her about His way of forgiveness.
  • Pray that God would give me an opportunity to follow up with Ibu Rosa about what she has read, and to share further about how she can find forgiveness for her sins.
