About Malaysia
Malaysia consists of two parts: Peninsular Malaysia (or West Malaysia) on the mainland of Asia; and East Malaysia on the island of Borneo. The country is a study in contrasts, ranging from virgin rainforests and pristine beaches to modern metropolises. The 15 million Malay people are virtually 100% Muslim and make up more than half the population.
