Dumai
Dumai City
Dumai is a port city, one in which people and goods go to and from Malaysia and other parts of South East Asia. The major industry of this city is oil refining by Chevron and Pertamina. Pipelines run along the streets bringing oil into the refineries. Oil tanks are seen all over the city emitting flames and smoke from the refining process. The entire city is built and dependent upon the oil industry.
In the days of the Apostles, there were also key coastal cities that were known for and supported by industry. God used these port cities as places from which to spread the Gospel.
The word of the Lord spread through the whole region.

- Pray that this city will be a receiving ground for the good news that Isa Al Masih (Jesus the Messiah) is Lord and Savior.
- Pray with us that Dumai will one day also be involved with the export of the Gospel to other parts of Indonesia, Malaysia and throughout Southeast Asia.
