The Great Mosque

Once inside the mosque, one can see the beauty of this amazing structure. Around the columns and the room are verses from the Qur’an written in Arabic.
John begins his gospel by writing,
In the beginning the Word already existed. He was with God, and He was God. So the Word became human and lived here on earth among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen His glory, the glory of the only Son of the Father.
John 1:1, 14 (NLT)
- Pray that Muslims will long for, and find, the true Word of God.
At the front of the inside of the mosque one will see several rows of prayer mats. Here, people pray and recite from the Qur’an several times a day.
As Paul reminds us,
there is only one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and people. He is the man Christ Jesus. He gave his life to purchase freedom for everyone. This is the message that God gave to the world at the proper time.

- Pray that the people worshipping here will one day be praying to God through Jesus the Messiah, recognizing Jesus as our Mediator and the only way that we can approach God.
